Megan is a lover of physical activity and has spent her life exploring the different ways in which she can express her passion for exercise. Spending the first part of her life playing competitive soccer, she sustained multiple knee injuries, an experience that inspired her to find other modalities of exercise that would promote a more holistic approach to healing. In 2010, after her fourth knee surgery, Megan discovered Pilates as a form of physical therapy. It is through this rehabilitative process that she fell in the love with the Pilates practice. In 2014, Megan completed her instructor training and obtained her certification in The Pilates Method.
Expanding on her love for fitness, Megan has spent time as a barre instructor in hopes of building her repertoire for bringing her love of physical activity to her clients. In combination with Megan’s passion for fitness, she received her MA in Psychology from Seattle University in pursuit of a deeper understanding of how to establish therapeutic relationships. It is her life long goal to utilize her passion for fitness as a form of therapeutic relief not only for herself, but her clients as well. With this approach, she seeks to inspire others to find personal growth and empowerment through fitness by gaining a deeper relationship with the mind-body connection.
Aside from bringing a therapeutic approach of Pilates to others, Megan enjoys long distance running, watching thriller movies, and spending time with her husband and two-year-old son! She is incredibly excited to bring her love of fitness and life to the New Body Pilates community!
